Terms of service
All transactions made through our website (the “Site”) are subject to these Terms of Purchase, plus our Return Policy, Shipping Policy, General Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy in effect at the time of purchase. Together, these policies form the entire agreement between you and Watch Works regarding purchases made on the Site.
TERMS OF PURCHASE
Order Acceptance Policy
Your receipt of an order confirmation, electronic or otherwise, does not mean we have accepted your order. It also does not confirm price or availability. We may accept or decline any order, in whole or in part, for any reason. Your order is accepted when we dispatch the products you purchased. We may require additional verification or information before acceptance.
If we cancel all or part of your order or deliver a lesser quantity than ordered, your sole remedy is either:
(a) a credit to your payment method for the cancelled or undelivered portion if already charged, or
(b) a charge only for the fulfilled portion if not yet charged.
Changes or cancellations requested by you are not effective until we confirm them by email. You are responsible for any fees on orders already processed or shipped before we receive your request. We may refuse orders connected to prior payment disputes or suspected fraudulent activity.
Order Processing
Orders are typically processed within 7 business days after payment confirmation, excluding weekends and holidays. You will receive a shipping notification once your order ships. Certain custom products or services may be subject to additional conditions and longer processing times.
All products are delivered by third-party carriers under a shipping contract. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to your address. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, high order volumes, carrier issues, governmental actions, strikes, utility interruptions, or other force majeure events.
Check Your Order Upon Arrival
Please check your order when it arrives and contact us right away if an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect. Include a description and photos so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Pricing and Specifications
We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that product descriptions, specifications, or prices are complete, accurate, current, or error-free. We may refuse or cancel any order due to pricing or specification errors. If your payment method was charged prior to cancellation, we will credit you the amount charged. If we accept and process an order with an obvious error that a reasonable customer would recognize, we may cancel the sale, refund amounts paid, and require return of any product provided.
If a product does not match its description on the Site, your sole remedy is to return it in unused, undamaged condition with original packaging, subject to our Return Policy.
Modifications to Prices or Billing Terms
Products and services are subject to availability. Information, including prices, images, specifications, and availability, may change at any time without notice. We may limit sales to any person or region. We may update or correct information and errors without prior notice. Color displays can vary by monitor and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Products and services may be unavailable, substituted, or discontinued at any time.
Offers and Discounts
Unless otherwise stated in writing by Watch Works, promotional offers, coupons, and discounts are subject to restrictions. For welcome offers of 5% off, the discount applies only to watches priced under $1,000 and cannot be used on items specially priced by our team. Codes are non-transferable, one use per customer, not combinable with other offers, and may be modified, suspended, or cancelled at any time. Taxes are your responsibility. We may reject any discount use that is non-compliant, abusive, or fraudulent.
Products for Personal Use Only
By placing an order, you represent that products are for personal use or gifting, not for resale. We may limit or cancel quantities per customer, household, or order, including orders using the same account, payment method, or billing/shipping address. If practical, we will notify you using the contact information on the order. We may refuse orders that appear to be placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors.
Accounts
Some Site features may require an account. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect and use personal information.
If you register:
(i) Do not use a username or email that impersonates another person, violates rights, or is offensive.
(ii) Provide true, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
(iii) You are responsible for all activity under your account, whether authorized or not.
(iv) Keep your password confidential and restrict access to your device.
(v) Notify us immediately of unauthorized use or security breaches.
(vi) Do not sell, transfer, or assign your account.
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these obligations. We may suspend or terminate accounts for false, outdated, or non-compliant information or for any reason in our sole discretion without notice.
SHIPPING POLICY
Free U.S. Shipping
We offer free shipping for orders delivered within the United States.
International Shipping
We ship worldwide. Charges are calculated at checkout. Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT) once the shipment reaches your country. These charges are your responsibility.
Order Status
When your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking details. Tracking updates may take up to 48 hours. If you have not received your order within 10 days of the shipping confirmation, contact us with your name and order number.
RETURN POLICY
7-Day Returns
You have 7 days from delivery to request a return, subject to the terms below. Items must be in the same condition as received, unused, undamaged, and in original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.
To start a return, submit a contact form. If approved, we will send return instructions and a label where applicable. Items sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Return shipping fees:
• U.S. customers — you are responsible for fully insured return shipping to Watch Works.
• International returns — a flat USD $250 will be deducted from your refund.
Refunds and Restocking Fee
All returned items are subject to a restocking fee of 5% of the product sale price or USD $50, whichever is greater. The fee does not apply if we determine the return is due to our error or a pre-existing product defect at delivery.
We will notify you after we receive and review your return and advise if the refund is approved. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method, minus shipping, insurance, any applicable restocking fee, and any return payment method fees. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.
Exceptions
Sale items and gift cards are non-returnable.
NO WARRANTY ON SOLD MERCHANDISE
Unless otherwise specified in writing, watches and merchandise are sold “as is” without any warranty. If a watch received work from us prior to sale and a written warranty was provided for that work, see the Limited Warranty for Parts and Services below. Any such warranty begins on the date of sale.
LIMITED WARRANTY FOR PARTS AND SERVICES
Watch Works (“we,” “us,” or the “Company”) warrants the following, to the original customer named on the service agreement:
Movement replacements
• New movements — one (1) year from the date we notify you the work is complete.
• Vintage movements — six (6) months from the date we notify you the work is complete.
Overhauls
• Movements with 8 or more jewels — six (6) months from completion notice.
• Movements with fewer than 8 jewels — no warranty.
General repairs
Examples include crystal replacement, hand setting, mainspring replacement — six (6) months from completion notice.
Our obligation is limited to repairing or, at our option, replacing any part we determine to be defective. Return of any item for evaluation requires our prior written authorization. If we determine the issue is not covered, you will be responsible for return shipping and insurance costs.
This warranty is void if the watch has been damaged by accident, alteration, misuse, neglect, lack of care, contrary use, or if work has been performed or attempted by anyone other than Watch Works. The warranty is issued only to the original customer and is not transferable. It is exclusive and in place of all other warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for personal injuries, consequential damages, or losses. After the applicable warranty period expires, all liability under this warranty ends.
THE ABOVE LIMITED WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE. NO IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE APPLIES. WE DO NOT WARRANT PRODUCTS OR SERVICES OF OTHERS.
PICK-UP FOR COMPLETED REPAIR ITEMS
Items completed and not picked up within three (3) months of notification will incur a $50 storage fee per item. After six (6) months, items may be deemed abandoned and handled at our sole discretion. We will have no further liability or obligation for such items, including loss, damage, or any change in value.
SMS PROGRAM
By opting in, you agree to receive SMS messages about order updates, repair updates, offers, events, and store news. For assistance, reply HELP or email us. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for details.
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE TERMS
Effective Date
Upon acceptance via form submission on our website or in-store.
This Repair and Maintenance Agreement (“Agreement”) is between Watch Works and the customer for the item submitted for work (“Repair Item”). By submitting a Repair Item online or in-store, you agree to these terms.
Estimates and Payment
Quotes are estimates. Actual pricing will be reconfirmed by email or text. During work, additional parts may be required. We may add up to $100 in additional parts without prior approval to keep your repair moving. If additional parts exceed $100, we will contact you for approval. If you decline additional parts, the base service price remains due for time and work already performed. If you reject updated pricing before work begins, you are responsible for packaging and insured return shipping. A 50% deposit on labor is required to begin.
Limited Warranty on Work
To provide confidence in our work, we warrant materials and workmanship as stated in the Limited Warranty for Parts and Services above, beginning on the pick-up or shipment date after completion.
Our obligation is limited to repair or replacement, at our option, of parts we judge defective, subject to prior written authorization for return and inspection. If an issue is not covered, you will be charged for shipping and insurance.
This warranty excludes damage from accident, alteration, misuse, or use contrary to our guidance. It is issued only to the customer named on the service agreement and is not transferable. No other warranties apply.
Title, Risk of Loss, and Insurance
You retain title to the Repair Item at all times. While in our possession, we maintain insurance coverage. If the item is stolen, lost, or damaged while in our possession, the claim will be filed under our policy. At our discretion, we may procure a replacement of equivalent brand, age, and similar condition.
Customer Representations
You represent that you are the legal owner of the Repair Item. We may cancel work if you fail to disclose important information or provide false information. In that case, you are responsible for losses and costs related to the cancellation.
Indemnity and Liability
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Watch Works and its representatives from claims arising from your breach of this Agreement. We are not liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data. Our total liability will not exceed the lesser of the item’s market value or the insurance proceeds paid in connection with a covered claim.
Governing Law and Venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Wichita, Kansas. The prevailing party in any dispute may recover reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs. Each party waives trial by jury to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Miscellaneous
This Agreement benefits only the parties and creates no third-party rights. Changes require a written document signed by both parties. A waiver must be in writing and is not continuing. Neither party is liable for non-performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Neither party may assign this Agreement without the other’s written consent. Headings are for reference only. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder remains in effect. Sections regarding payment, indemnity, liability, and other provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination. This Agreement, together with the policies referenced above, is the entire agreement on this subject.
