In May 1926, Hamilton introduced its proprietary factory-cased "Model 2" Bar-Over-Crown (BOC) case. While yellow gold-filled was the standard, specialized case options were produced in rose gold tones—making an authentic 1926 movement inside an original rose gold BOC case a rare and valuable combination.
Hamilton: Producing its first pocket watches in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1892, Hamilton is one of the most recognizable names in American watchmaking. Although production moved to Switzerland in 1969, the brand’s American-made catalog remains extensive and highly regarded. With strong ties to military history and pop culture, Hamilton continues to offer both well-made modern watches and a deep archive of desirable vintage pieces.
