The Gruen Curvex is one of the most historically significant and highly collected wristwatches in horological history. First introduced in 1935, it revolutionized watch design and became the defining aesthetic of the Art Deco era.

Gruen: Founded in Ohio, Gruen was one of the largest American watch manufacturers for much of the 20th century. Shortly after relocating to Cincinnati, the company became the number one selling watch brand in the United States. Like many manufacturers of the era, Gruen shifted production during World War II to fulfill military contracts. After the war, an influx of Swiss imports severely impacted the brand, ultimately leading to its closure in 1977. Today, Gruen is remembered through its elegant and innovative vintage watches.
