The Hamilton Accumatic A-504 (introduced in 1965) is an exceptionally rare, one-year-only asymmetric automatic watch. To build it, Hamilton famously repurposed leftover stainless steel case stock from their earlier electric Regulus model, outfitting them with a reliable Swiss 17-jewel Caliber 689 automatic movement instead. Because it was produced only until surplus parts ran out, it is highly sought after by collectors.
